Yes really. As I have said before, George Washington left Newburgh in 1783, so he is not running in the Democratic primary for City Council. All of these candidates are flawed. If you don’t vote for these two, you are left with three candidates who are much more flawed. Councilman Shakur is in way over his head as a City Councilman. He has no understanding of the business that the City Council has to deal with. Ms Lee? She was the worst one term councilperson in the history of the Newburgh City Council. As another poster in this thread said she “spent most of her time fighting and yelling at everyone and was always a lunatic”. Ms. Mejar? Sorry, she’s too far “out there” for me.
