Subject: Tax on Tourists, Subsidies to Import More Poverty

Skoufis was angry about the deal for the boutique hotel project on Grand Street so he used his energy to create a bill to allow municipalities to tax visiting tourists. On the other side of the coin he supported building/rehabbing "affordable housing" that is not going to members of the community but is importing more financially challenged people to a city that is already challenged with taking care of the people who are already here having financial difficulties. So discouraging/gouging temporary visitors who bring commerce and encouraging more of a burden on a community that has enough problems. What a guy!
