A thread from a post from the Facebook group "Living in the City of Newburgh". When someone inquires who are the candidates running against the Mayor, Harvey lies and states both of his opponents are Republican and falsely accuses Hael Stewart-Fisher of being a gentrifier. Check it out:

(Note: Stewart-Fisher provides a copy of what appears to be his voter registration card, stating he is a Democrat. I could not transfer the image to this post.)

Torrance Harvey Mr. Harvey, I would love to see said proof that I am a Republican. I have been a registered Democrat since I turned 18. I haven't lived in Kansas City in over 23 years. As history teacher, you would know that there are two Kansas Cities and to give you a hint to help find these said election results, I'm from the younger of the two KCs.
Also, I assume since this an anonymous post, this is once again your failed attempt to promote yourself much like writing the ONLY Amazon review of your own book. See said evidence of me being a Democrat.

I find this very bewildering. If you're a booster and praise their legacy as mayor then why wouldn't you be open, honest and transparent about who you are.
Any I should my admiration for an individual or institution, I more than proud to say that such praise is coming from myself.
Either way, I could care less other than to say that honesty is the foundation of trust

Torrance Harvey I would love to know what gentrification effort I'm a part of... I'm renter and recently downgrade my apartment to have a more affordable rent payment, I don't own car relying on my own two feet. I don't own property and live much like the rest of Newburgh, paycheck to paycheck.
I don't live in a large house in the posh Washington Heights. And name is true, I did so to reflect the contribution that not only father gave me but that of my mother as well.

To gauge the true integrity of both of these candidates, one only needs to study this specific thread. One candidate resorts to lies about political parties and makes false accusations of gentrification. The other offers proof refuting such claims in a professional and respectful manner.
