Subject: Where's Waldo? [Newburgh Edition]

So, while the City of Newburgh was dealing with a cyber attack, where was our fearless City Manager? In Orlando.

The city paid for the city manager and city staffers to fly to Orlando to attend Government Finance Officers Association Conference to accept the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award. Really? I'd love to see the ROI on these expenses.

Wow! It was only a few weeks ago that the city spent over $37K to send the executive staff, mayor and city council to an off-site with no discernible benefit other than to line the pockets of the Mohonk Mountain House resort and the facilitators.

There's got to be a point when we (the taxpayers of Newburgh) say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! It's time to rally the troops and make some major changes.
