Newburgh ranked 622 out of 634 schools on ELA testing 2023-2024. We have a 59% proficiency rating. I post this due to the nonsense going on at the board of education. This is a shame. All this fucking tax money, and a 59% proficiency rating. I'm so mad right now, all the district news letters, touting the scholars, and how the district is encouraging the youth to shoot for the stars. There needs to be a drastic change in the NECSD. Omari Shakur definitely does not need to be anywhere near the school board!!!!! This is a utter joke of a district right now, it is almost if not criminal.
