Maybe you haven't been paying attention but entities outside of the City of Newburgh will never enforce such rules. This City Manager and especially the Corporation Counsel have been testing the extent of what they can get away with here for years. They won't even honor some FOIA requests. Unfortunately the voters were more interested in voting for egotistical dishrags than for people who would be effective leaders. Most of the city council have enabled this monster from the start by caving to his demands when he was first hired- and continuing his contracts. It's hilarious it took them this long to come to terms with that terrible mistake. Communication from the hired manager of this city should be a priority. Closing off City Hall and failing to respond to the public and the press can only mean one thing: he's hiding something, not working or attempting to make decisions without anyone- even the Council- knowing. As usual, it is not the City Manager who's at fault here, it's the lame "leadership" that the voters in this city elected.
