Subject: Councilwoman Monteverde

Kudos to Councilwoman Monteverde. She was the only one to have the courage to vote against what is essentially a $36,000 pay raise for Mike Neppl. The rationale that Mr. Venning and Mayor Harvey used to support the new position was complete nonsense, but the six members other than Ms. Monteverde lacked the wisdom or courage to see through it. I had hopes for Councimen McLymore and Sklarz, and Councilwomen Martinez and Sophocles, but my hopes were for nought.
