Unless and until this city gets crime, violence & personal safety under some measure of control, all the investors in the world won’t matter. Living under siege, especially folk who’ve bought places in the gut, and the flats before the heights, are vulnerable to the beat of those streets, especially when the beat is bullets flying; sirens wailing; bodies and nobody knows nothin’. The beat has been on and goes on in this here river city . . .
