Subject: What happened to Olivia Walton?

I'm looking for information on Olivia Walton. I grew up watching the Waltons and I often wonder after hearing rumors Olivia did really did get TB during the making of the Waltons and later passed away from TB after the Waltons were done filming. Is this true? Did she get TB and later pass away? Or maybe by chance she is still living? I loved Olivia Walton, she was such a wonderful mother. I admire her still to this day! I can't wait untill Season 8 & 9!
