...The stallion was alert, ears perked, head raised, poised to attack at ready. Something was on the air, he could tell, but the scent was strange to him. Leather, metal, a slight trace of equine, and something very strange indeed, what could it be? He nickers lowly to his lead mare, telling her to be on guard, something was defiantly wrong...

Shiny sorrel coat, dark eyes. Very long mane, nearly reaching his knees, tail brushing the ground. Strong looking, definitely tough.
Personality:
Definitely tough and nearly fearless. He knows the wild, he knows how to fight. He can be a little aloof at times, but would give his life for his herd at any time.


...The mare watches her mate nervously, she also sensed the eerie presence he did. She shifts and moves closer to him, drawing contentment from his bravery...

Almost white, a few grey patches on her rump and down her legs, but other wise pure white. Shaggy mane and long tail, though not so long as her mate's.
Personality:
Very loyal mare, always by her stallion's side, and always does what he says. But also has a bossy side, leads the mares when the stallion can't and won't hesitate to deliver punishment to disobeyers.


...Nearby the nervous couple, a chestnut colt is curled up in the grass, dreaming happily of foalish things and not worrying about the danger...

Cute, fuzzy sorrel. One sock and diamond shaped star on his forehead. Still has the gangly look, which he hates.
Personality:
A rambunctious and rebellious colt. Sort of the boss of all the foals. Can be a bit of a bully, but his sire usually makes him quit bullying, so he'll grow out of it.


...A roan mare dozes on her feet, a roan colt curled up at her feet. But he wasn't asleep, he watches the herd master and his mate curiously. He didn't sense any danger, but he felt the leads agitattion and moves closer to his dam...

Beautiful red roan coat and blonde mane. Delicate frame and build.
Personality:
Very delicate looking, but she can be tough if she wants. She's usually very quiet and level-headed, she's young, but very mature and has grown a bond with Moonglow.

Absoluetly gorgeous roan colour, chestnut mane and flaxen tail. He'll be a beaut when he grows up.
Personality:
Very mature for his age, he's the oldest foal, and the only one who can stand up to Stellar's bullying. Him and Stellar being the only colts, Stellar tries to pick fights, but he is always ignored.

...Also sleeping on her feet is a black mare and pretty bay filly. Both are heavily asleep, the filly curled in the grass...

Personality:
A very stable and dependable mare. Old enough to have had her fair share of foals and battles. So she's pretty experienced in the wild also, but still young enough to be thriving.

A pretty bay filly, just shedding out her black foal coat, she'll be a shining blood bay in no time.
Personality:
Already she is quite independant, she eats grass and frolics with the other foals. But is always glad to return to her dam at the end of the day. She'll be a wonderful lead mare someday.


...Dozing mingled with the herd is another mare and filly pair, this time a bay and a sorrel. But the bay stands awake, watching the leads, something was wrong, she could tell. She steps closer to her filly...

Personality:
Your perfectly average mare, she loves her filly, is respectful to the stallion, and fits in well with the other mares. Nothing too out of the ordinary here.

Light chestnut (will darken) with a white face. Very pretty head, takes after her father in that way.
Personality:
A very sweet filly, but unfortunately is one of the foals that gets picked on by Stellar. So sometimes isn't too friendly to other foals, mostly follows Shining around.

...A mouse grey mare blends almost perfectly into the night setting, and her filly, almost the same colour, is almost invisible in the grass. Night was thier element, they were far easier to catch during the day...

A beautiful, rare, mouse grey, darker face and legs. Very beautiful. But on the short side, about pony sized.
Personality:
A very nice mare, she's very short, but doesn't let that bother her. She does everything the other mares do, and keeps up when they run if it kills her. Very determined just about sums her up.

The exact same colour as her dam. Although not so short, at only four months she is almost as tall as her. The only difference is a white star on her head.
Personality:
Very much like her dam's, but less intense. She has no problem keeping up, but always waits for the slower members, like her dam. She's a wonderful, caring filly and completely ignores Stellar at all times.


...Another pair of mare and foal sleeps also. The mare on her feet, filly curled in the grass. Both seem content...

Personality:
Can be quite a tempermental mare. She's grumpy half the time, so most of the mares know better than to set her off, she has been known to kick.

Pretty bay, few small white patches on her stomach, but otherwise solid coloured.
Personality:
Unlike her dam, she is a very nice filly. She dislikes her dam, but is kept at her side by force most of the time. Wants more than anything to explore, travel, and see new places. But is kept confined to her dam's side.


...Farther away from the clumped together herd, stands a beautiful, pure white mare, dozing fitfully. At her feet, an equally beautiful medicine hat filly. The filly was not the herd master's bloodline, and the mare was stolen and kept here, so they stayed on the outskirts. The mare rasing her filly alone, untill the day she would be free...

Personality:
Very aloof mare, knows she will not be accepted untill her filla leaves, so stays on the outskirts. She loves her filly very much, and will protect her with her life.

Rare, chestnut medicine hat, long legged and very finely built. She'll be an absolutely gorgeous mare someday.
Personality:
Really a sweet filly, has been tough obidience by her dam since her birth, and obeys her, and only her. She would be very friendly, if her dam didn't keep her by her side at all times.


K, here's the story line. It't night time, Sham knows there are humans around, and he and the lead mare are nervous. All the mare are in foal currently, and thier current foals can be caught without thier dams.
