..Young male does not move from his position under the tree..nor does he wake up..suddenly, his eyes snap open at the sound of movement close by..but immediately shuts them back..the sun too bright to open them fully yet..after adjusting to the light, he sees the mare..shocked at being this close to a wild horse, he makes no movements for fear of scaring her off..smiling slightly, he eases back down into his rested reclining position..content on watching the mare graze in front of him..but then he sees her body..and the scars..frowning, he wonders what had happened to the poor mare to aquire such wounds..
