And the roads seriously warrant a high clearance 4x4. So the car is not making the trip (240k miles is enough). We'll probably buy a used 4x4 (old jeep?) when we get down there. Good advice on the bugs. We're taking our sea kayaks (da!) but also buying some *get this* Sit On Top's. I'm pimping mine out for fishing (another da!). I understand the fish are much stupider there.
