Date Posted: 15:25:46 04/20/06 Thu First off, could somebody hook me up w/ Red Squirrel's email address so we can plan/finalize a trip for this summer? If anyone else is interested in helping plan a trip drop me a line. bpneff *at* usgs *dot* gov. Also, if anyone has an idea for a kick-ass bachlor party, I have 9 weeks before I'm officially hitched. This weekend is the Hugh Heward Challenge. It's a 55-mile paddle down the Grand River from upstream of Lansing to Ionia. The route traces the route of Hugh Heward, the explorer who provided the first written account of the Lansing area. Or so the Lansing Oar and Paddle Club says. I'm doing the lower half of the route w/ my fiancée. We are meeting at 0900 at the Cracker Barrel parking lot at exit 93 (I-96). Let me know if you're up for a good long day trip.
