Subject: Details on some scenarios and new research

Gang - go read the Corinth Forums at www.nsalliance.org/Corinth. Lon Webster, in the research that appears in this month's Watchdog, has allowed us to post his work on imported weapons and equipment in the Army of the West at Corinth. Specifically, he sites a number of reports sending Enfield rifle muskets and ammuniction, as well as English knapsacks and accouterments to these troops in the Spring, Summer and Fall of 1862 in Mississippi.

The upshot is it is possible some of those weapons and equipments were carried by us during the campaign. Food for thought.

Also, we are working on a plan like at Franklin to reprise the authentic casualty disposition scenario. Fates would again be used and casualties would remain on the field until collected that evening. I am waiting on word if the feds and other brigades on our side are planning to participate. This would be Friday night after the evening battle of Iuka. Fred Y is psyched to do it if we can get the medical folks on board.

Stay tuned,
Doug
