Subject: Bayou Borbeau Event in 2007

This sounds scary, but my ancestor's regiment was there. Anybody have any idea whether it could be anything worth attending? This was on the Szabo forum so am not holding my breath :-)

The Battle of Bayou Bourbeau
in
Washington, Louisiana

Held over 15 Years ago, on the hills just outside the tiny antique town of Washington, Louisiana

After fading away, it is still talked about to this day!

The Brig. Gen. J.J. Alfred A. Mouton Camp
Sons of Confederate Veterans
&
The Pelican Battery Living History Unit
are proud to announce its revival!

The Battle of Bayou Bourbeau reenactment will be held on the same grounds as remembered by
veteran reenactors!

For those who remember, please come back, and tell others about it. The hills still roll, the grounds are still green and the atmosphere, well, nothing but period!

COMING
October 12-14, 2007
Mark your Calendar!

As planning and preparation progresses, more information will be released as well as registration info. The organizers are taking this extended time to plan its return for a successful event. For more information, please contact Pelican Battery Commander Charles Lauret at 337-826-1622 or email patriot1861@yahoo.com.

PLEASE PASS ON TO ANYONE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED IN THIS EVENT!
