I think what Company ya'all shall be will have to be done by the Red River battalion Commander, Col Yokobitus. Currently the companies within the Battalion as Companies F,G,H, I and my beloved K. Company K shall be the color company.
If you wish I can ask the good Col., for a company number for ya'all? Prehaps he has some input that can shed light for ya'all. I vote for Company "Q', heheheh ( not to offend anyone who knows what company that was for each reg't)
I was reading Sam Watkins fine book again and he mentioned what the primary rations were as they marched into Tennessee Walnuts and Pumpkins". He mentioned about drying them and filling their haversacks. Also about how the men would run around walnut trees filling their hats. Hmmmmm some of ya'all may resemble pumpkins, but shal you consume them? Seriously there is some nice reading in Company Aytch about the Tennessee fiasco.
