But if the RRB rations aren't bangers and mash, will our Brits know what to do with what they receive?

On a serious note, when I arrive - Thursday night - I'll have several sausages ready for a campfire. Got the idea from an article Paul Calloway posted eons ago about supplying the troops with sausages instead of beef on the hoof. The idea was that, pound for pound, there was more usable meat in shipped crates of sausages verses beef arriving at the front on its own hooves. I think the article was entitled, "Is that a sausage in your pocket or ..."

When I'm pressed for time before events and don't have time to prepare as I'd like, I have been known to bring sausages for the campfire. I remember a few times watching Stretch Sylvester at events cooking several at a time on his sword - swearing about something in that particular gruff voice he has.
