Boys, as discussed in the guidelines, we captured the fed knapsacks in a huge pile and they were full. Obviously we don't want everyone outfitted with all the trappings of a federal infantryman but a few of Danny's Cincy halves (hint) or well made brand X are appropriate.

Silas will be bringing the CHAPs tent fly. The Army of the Tennessee issued a circular on more than one occasion authorizing 1-2 fly per company to be carried in the wagons. The troops supplemented with ground sheets and blankets and captured as well as the occasional issued shelter tent (source is Fred Gaede, canvas guru).

So, a smattering of shelter halves, the fly and everybody with either a fed rubber blanket or CS issue ground sheet should set up well for shelter - if we get Son Of Ivan blowing through like in 2002 at Perryville we will be covered, if not, the fly stays in the wagon and we just wrap up in the halves and blankets.

I am going to bring a McCoslin Cincy shelter half so all can see what one looks like.

If the long range forecast holds we may be throwing as much stuff in the wagon as we can.

Doug
