Steve - precisely why Co B is having a mail call. We are going to read from the letters out loud and share what they say. As we are all from the same general area, this is way to pass around the news...and get us thinking as a unit. Have seen this work very well. Fun incidents mentioned also provide some rich material for follow-on conversation...like the one letter a comrade got from his wife mentioning the "new hired man" she had taken on to help run the farm, a "young man, very strong and well recommended" - we gave him grief for the rest of the weekend and he played it exactly right. Outrage at the thought that this man was not in the army and worry that perhaps his own presence was being replaced in other areas not related to agriculture.

thanks for names - will weave them in somehow.

Doug
