Thank you Glen, the encouragement is greatly appreciated.

As to Millermore: The damage occurred when an A/C problem created either a leak or a LOT of condensation! Water soaked through the ceiling in the master bedroom and caused a large piece of sheetrock to fall into the room splattering everything with water, old fiberglass insulation and and soggy plaster. It was pretty bad. The wet sheetrock struck a chamberpot step-stool (two words that are just sooo wrong together but we'll leave that for now!) and broke it to pieces. The hand loomed rug was soaked and covered in fiberglass and plaster but it will almost certainly be restored. Several other artifacts were damaged including the full tester bed canopy, feather mattress and period coverlet, and a pair of ladies velvet shoes. The water soaked through the master bedroom floor and wet the ceiling of the family parlor below. Fortunately the family parlor ceiling did not fall but we moved all the artifacts in that room just in case. It has since dried (leaving several large stains on the ceiling and one wall) and is safe so the downstairs has been reopened for touring.

I hope you will come out when time allows. I work Tuesday through Saturday but I'm not always in Millermore so give me a call before you come. My cell phone number is 972 948 0481.

I look forward to seeing you sometime soon.

Donna Bonfield
