Subject: Field trips and more

The materials for "Book It! Beginners" will be available at co-op this Friday, Feb 27th. Please pick up your materials from Nancy Lefebvre. "Book It! Beginners" is a program available for preschool children, ages 1-5. The program emphasizes the importance of reading to your child at an early age. For more information or to receive your free pizza hut coupons, please see Mrs. LeFebvre Friday at co-op. If this is not convenient for you, please call Mrs. Craig at 716-4434 or e-mail her at pches_carole@hotmail.com and other arrangments can be made.

Anyone desiring a copy of the Teacher's Resource Guide for our field trip to the OKC Art Museum on March 11 needs to contact Mrs. Craig by Thursday, February 26. The guide is an excellent resource to accompany a study of "George Washington: A National Treasure". Cost for copies of the guide will be $2.50.

Due to Carole's upcoming surgery is necessary that she receive requests for these guides now and deliver them to those who desire it at co-op on Friday, Feb 27th. Please make your request by reply of call Carole at 716-4434.

When placing your request for a guide, please also sign up for the field trip. We will leave at 9:00 from the Standing Bear Park parking lot on March 11 for our trip to the Harn Homestead. Cost for the tour of the Harn House and grounds is $5.00. We are planning to eat picnic style on the grounds if the weather permits. If the weather is not favorable, there are several fast food restaurants in the vicinity.

From 1-2 p.m. we will have a guided tour at the OKC Art Museum of the George Washington Exhibit. Cost is $3.00 per adult, no charge for the students.

I would encourage as many as possible to join us for both the morning and afternoon. If you are planning to go on just one of the outings, please indicate such when you register to go. Please reply to Mrs. Craig as soon as possible.
