.these days, it seemed sunny never settled down for long. breifly after she had uncovered an obscured, bosky locale to have a bit of cessation, some normal forest noise perturbed her fragile nerves. scrambling to her feet, forgetting the attempt at a long overdue somnolence, the flighty xanthippe pirouetted rapidly and careened from the wooded place, darting in and out among the dense foliage. after what seemed like an eternity, her opaline tabiaries enlarged and revealing bloodshot whites, she emerged from the woodlot. sweat darkened her wan coat, large splotches interspersed on the thin, unblemished skin. it lent her hide an artificial sheen, masking the lackluster, pasty complexion temporarily.

.the lucid wren stood solitarily at the zenith of a small glacis, her poise as resplendent as it had been in days gone by. the fierce dignity wasn't costless, though; august postures inflamed her malady, sending violent spasms of anguish through her like knifes carving at her innards and flame allowed to run unhindered in her blood. none of this intristic torment was displayed, her carefully constructed guise of nonchalance veiling everything that was roaring through her mind. it seemed the perfect charade to the vix...but she couldn't see herself, couldn't detect the vividly palpable changes that had occurred physically and mentally.

.her once lustrous and ethereally gleaming peltry of sheer rime had faded, morphing into a vapid shell of meager and sallow fur. sunny's tangible and ever-present ambience of hauteur had vanished, robbing her of a mite of the enigmatic artistry that had emanated from her every inch previously. her lavishly silken tresses of coiled alabaster had discolored to a silvering hue and straightened, draped lethargically on her crest and drooping rather despondently in place of the euphoric fluttering they had taken in the past. the formerly shimmery and scintillating talons of polished diamond had seemingly hardened, coruscating harshly beneath the shafts of light that gave the ailing seraph no mercy, cruelly radiating heat causing her to sweat profusely. erstwhile, her expressive, rosy eyes had held an opalescence that was alluring and compassionate. now, all they seemed to display was a version of mild apathy. the mystic's winged appendages were perhaps one of the most atrocious aspects of her ill scaffolding, bones easily visible beneath the taut membrane. several feathers were omitted, her right tip hopelessly shattered and caked in dried blood...it also appeared to have taken on a vile infection. the worst of all was her figure. quondam, it had been curvaceous, voluptuous, sensuous. now, she was reduced to skin and bone. gaunt hollows replaced the regularly gentle dips of her physique, her limbs were gangly and too slender, and most of her looked to have been emaciated. peculiarly, though, her ribs weren't salient as they should've been, a mismatch to the rest of her starving anatomy.

.the creamy regina's breathing was ragged and audible, heaving sides expanding and contracting as she greedily devoured the air into her flared nares, it blazing the entire way. unable to stifle it any longer, she coughed, the sound reboant. a small family of aviaries shot out of the tall grasses surrounding her elevated perch, the noise of their wings like a gunshot as they fled towards safety in the forest. forced torpor settled into the paramour's chasms, drawing the stretched hide stiffly to her sharply dished countenance. casting desperate glances in every direction, the pallid one persevered in the war for consciousness. surely not...it couldn't be. no. she refused to believe the obvious truth, to accept the horrid nightmare that had become her reality by no decision of her own. as the mental battle raged on inside her skull, she valiantly declined to rest, knowing that it could very likely be the end of her.

.still and transfixed.
.the electric sheep.
.are dreaming of your face.
.enjoy you from the chemical.
.comfort of america.
