*^Homecoming^*

*^Again I ingressed 'pon the environment of Everlasting Peaks. A calm facade took the place of my foul mood from earlier this week. What had changed? Me. I had faced my demons. My usually gliding step was faltering, though. Forcefully, I tried to hide it, but it was easy to see my injury. A split from knee to ankle exposed my tendon to the open air. No matter, I told myself. Silv'n oculi danced around in their orbits, searching for a friend or family member. Finally, my heart was at rest. Finally, I was home.^*

*^Ultimately my search found the dove of my affection. First reaction at seeing her state: 'what the hell happened?' Second reaction: Hasting to her side ignoring every time my talon stabbed the ground. I slowed a few steps away from her. The looks didn't bother me. I would love her no matter, what worried my healing mind was her health. Soft velveteens reached out to touch her cheek, a muffled whuffle fleeing them.^*

My darling...

*^What could I say? Sunny was one to never admit her hurt and I had no idea what to do. Slowly I stepped forward, muzzle burying into her discolored tresses as pewter streaks soaked my azure cheeks.^*
