She didn't know, of course, what had happened to Darian, but she sensed that it wasn't very pretty, whatever it may be. Knowing to keep her mouth shut, she turned to the picnic basket. "Perhaps, despite your experience, you might be hungry?" she inquired, drawing out some tuna sandwiches, pickles, potato salad, apple pie and cookies then spreading them on the blanket in front of them. Last she pulled out a bottle of wine and some glasses, setting them down gently. Finally finished drawing it out, she looked up at him inquiringly.
