Jim, you like Stratovarius? They are awesome! One of my other favorite bands in that genre is Sonata Artica. They are very, very similar. I like all three of the bands you mentioned. They Might Be Giants isn't my *favorite* but is definitely up there. (Please past the milk, please)

If you like Strat, I know of and regularly listen to a lot of bands from that symphonic / power metal genre that I'd be glad to recommend to you. (What's that blue thing... doin' here?)

In closing, while TMBG is not my favorite band, they have the distinction of writing my favorite verse from a song:

"We were waving our arms out the window - of a fast moving passenger train. Acting in an irresponsible fashion - until the engineer who's back had had been turned - And whom we thought would find this highly amusing - Quickly swiveled his head around. And his face which was a paper white mask of evil, sang us this song: Turn around....."

Those of you who have not heard that song, it sure sounds lame, but believe me, the whole song is a riot. (I'm having a heart attack,)

Fingertips....... fingertips.....

(You might be able to guess which TMBG album is my favorite, Jim. Hehe.)
