It Takes Faith
We must remember that we cannot please Our Heavenly Father if we have no trust and faith in Him as being the faithful, honest, person He is. This is also truth. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by what? By the Word of God.
The Lord had a Book written before Him. Malachi 3;16: "Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of rememberance was written before Him, for those who fear the LORD, And who meditate on His name." Psalm 56; 8: You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your Book? When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; This I know because God is for me.
So even before Malachi wrote of this Book it was made mention of in Psalms written by David, an ancester of Christ. Whom is the Risen Only Begotten Son of God, Jesus, The God/Man.
John 1; 14: And the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of Grace and Truth.
Back to the truth of the Book He has had written before Him for all who Fear the LORD. We come to this Scripture in the N.T. Hebrews 3; 12:-15: Beware, brethren , lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called 'Today' , lest any of you be hardened with the decietfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."
The rebellion is, and are those, whom rebelled against Moses in the wilderness when they were brought out of Egypt. God's people the Israelites rebelled, and God was angry with them forty years. Those who sinned their corpses fell in the wilderness. Saying that they would not enter His rest because they did not obey Him. They could not enter into His rest because of unbelief. All this is written of in Hebrews 3; 16:-19: and in the O.T. Numbers Ch's,14;, 15; & 16;
All of these things that we read about happening in the O.T. are lessons for us to learn what God does to those whom do not follow and obide by and believe in what God Almighty has said to do. It all comes down to faith. Faith that God is our Creator, faith that there is no other God, faith that His word that He has had written for us to read and learn by and bring us back to rememberance of who we are in Him and He in us. Faith that what is written by those that God has given to write down what He has said and done. Remembering that God almighty is the very essence of what we are. We are after all, made in the image of God our heavenly Father. Genesis 2; 26:,27: Then God said; "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 5; 1:,2: This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created."
God's Covenant with Mankind is given in Genesis 8; 20:-22: Then Noah built an alter to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the alter. And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart,"I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done." "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night shall not cease,"
Faith! in what has been written in the Book that God has had written before Him for all that fear the LORD, and meditate on His name. Whom are these that Fear the LORD? Whom are these people that meditate on His name? To fear the Lord is to understand and know the Power of God, to fear the LORD is to come to realize the awsomeness of His wisdom , His power, His reality, in our lives, to fear the LORD is to come to understand that His word that is written is true and nothing but the truth, and is the only truth we will ever need.
To meditate is to plan, intend, think deeply, about what? The Name of Who? God! What is the Name of God? God has many names, But what Name does the Word tell us is His name that is His name FOREVER?
In Exodus 3; 13:-15: Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, "The God of your fathers has sent me to you," and they say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?" And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO IAM," And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel," "I AM has sent me to you." Moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel;" 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations." This is the name of the LORD God Given to Moses in the O.T. It is His name forever and is a memorial for all generations. Isaiah 42; 5:-9: Thus says God the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it. Who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it. I, the LORD, have called you. in righteousness And will hold Your hand I will keep You and Give You as a Covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house. I am the LORD, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. Behold the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them. This being a Word Given to His servant. Who was His Servant? "Behold My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will break, And a smoking flax He will quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law." How many generations of mankind has there been that have come and gone, since God Created Mankind? That First man being Who? Adam! From man He made Woman, and Adam called that which God had Made from MAN'S Rib. Eve! because she is the Mother of all living.
In the N.T. The Great I AM, The Word, God Almighty, Is That Only Begotten of God, that became flesh, Came in the Flesh, To Die and shed His Blood that Through Him all the World may be saved. If they that believe in Him shall not perish but have life forever. A name that has been given among men under heaven that we as men Must be saved. Prophesied and told of before He was brought forth to save the world. Hebrews 4; 10:-12: "Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone." "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved," Isaiah 7;14: "Therefore the LORD HIMSELF will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall concieve and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel."
(Meaning Of Immanuel "God with us")
Isaiah 9; 6:,7: For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government, and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." In the N.T. His Name is called Jesus. Whom WE CALL Lord! Philippians 2; 5: 11: Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men, And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and those on the earth and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of GOD the Father."
Faith! In this Jesus the risen CHRIST who has come in the flesh as a witness to men. He was that very one that has promised and is the promise to all mankind to bring each and every person that will believe in Him and recieve His gift of Life, being returned to Him. Being redeemed back to our Heavenly Father God almighty our Creator.
