The Work Of God
The work of God is not anything we physically do with our hands, feet, and physical bodies in any physical action, that we would look upon as work.
We find in the written word what the work of God is. Told by the One that came telling and giving the truth of the Father to us. Jesus Christ.
John 6; 28:,29: "What shall we do that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them; "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."
We also can find again in IJohn 2; 21:-23: I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Question? Who did the Father God send? First of all one must understand that there is only one LORD thy God! one Creator, God! He has said of Himself there is no other LORD Me. The first commandment "Have no other gods before Me." He is the only Word that we can believe and live by.
He is Holy, Omniscient, and Omnipresent, His kingdom is forever and ever, and His word will never change, nor will His word ever endand be no more.
In John 5; 31:-34: It is written; "If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. There is another who bears witness of Me. and I know that the witness that witnesses of Me is true. You have sent to John, and He has born witness to the truth. Yet I do not recieve testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved. He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light."
I often wondered why when anyone said or was telling someone about reading the Scriptures, they always said start with the book of John! It is because John was the foreteller, forrunner, the one that was sent to make the way for the promised Messiah, Christ Jesus, that Manifestation of the Word, the Creator, Of all. Without Him there was nothing made that was made.
John 5; 36:-44: "But I have a greater witness than John's for the works that the Father has given Me to finish- the very works that I do- bear witness of Me that the Father has sent Me. And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at anytime or seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent you do not believe. You search the Scriptures and in them you think you have eternal life, and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. I do not recieve honor from men! But I know you that you do not have the love of God in you. I have come in My Fathers name and you do not recieve Me, if another comes in his own name, him you will recieve. How can you believe , who recieve honor from one another, and do not seek the honor from the only God?"
Yes why is it we go to men to learn of God ? Why do we go to men to know what God has said and done? How come we do not just go to God Himself and ask Him, what we want to know about anything?
Malachi 3;16:-18: Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a Book was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name.
"They shall be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "On the day I make them My Jewels, And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him," Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.
That Book that God had written is that Book that tells of Him. We call that Book the Holy Bible, Holy Scriptures, The thing we learn that is important is that God is God, He is LORD of lords, King of kings, and yes LORD of hosts.
God gives each a measure of faith. That faith is given growth and brought to maturity by His Holy Spirit that we are told we must be born again of to enter the kingdom of God, we are also told to seek FIRST! the kingdom of God.
One cannot seek this Kingdom if they have no place to seek it from. We seek it by reading what God has left for us. That being His WRITTEN WORD that if read and believed and one has faith and has no doubt about GOD being OUR CREATOR our heavenly Father. WeWILL LEARN and find all answers. Because His Word is true and His Love is true, and His Spirit is true, His baptism is true, His reality in this world and in us is true. It is so simple just believe and trust in HIM.
Be obedient to His Commandments and you will have nothing to fear from men, or what this world you see and are in for we all have sinned and fallen from Gods love and His presence.
BUT the good news is that God has redeemed us and we shall and can be returned to Him Seeing Him as He is and be again as He has created us from the very foundations of the earth.
Without God we have nothing, are nothing, and will never be anything but dead, no life, no hope, and no future.
The love of God is a wonderful gift to have given. But how much more precious is His love when we can give His love to another.
The love of God cannot be given if that Love is not in ones heart. Gods love is careing, compassionant, helpful, to come to the aid of another that is in need, of food, clothing, shelter, healing.
God will give all that is required to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, and heal the sick.
We rest in Him, His truth and love.
