Cyrus could only stare at the creature that brushed his leg, though he knew what it was, he could not comprehend how this could be so.

A day or so ago, they had been nothing short of tiny, while now, this creature looked to be a few months old.

"They're wyrdlings," Cyrus said softly, reaching down and picking up the small, silver, green and blue scaled wyrdling that had brushed his leg. Upon closer examination, he could see small scales of other colors growing in under the larger ones, and it was apparent that before much longer, it would be a metallic rainbow of scales.

A thought sent to him, and he smirked, then nodded as he placed the wyrdling back on the floor, "uh, hello stormlight," he said to the small creature than looked over at Emillia, and shrugged before scratching his head.

"It seems they're out looking for friends," Cyrus said before he reached over to the picnic basket he had brought, rummaged around in it, and found one of the many samwiches his father had packed (his father always packed too much food, even when the man had too little time) and tossed the food to the wyrdling.

The samwich vanished fast enough it made onlookers wonder if it had even existed in the first place.
