Subject: MORE PRAYERS NEEDED

 I have a request from everyone. Another friend of mine has recently found out she has cancer. She has ovarian cancer. Her name is Betty Lowe and she is the mother of my friends Pam and Donna and we have known each other all our lives. Donna and Pam lost their Dad to brain cancer approximately two years ago.

Donna sent an email to update us. This is part of it:

She will have surgery Saturday, this Saturday the 31st. She tested positive for ovarian cancer, but this dr. says he's not sure if it's ovarian cancer or not. Her surgery is scheduled for 12:30pm and will take from 2 to 6 hours, depending on what they find. This will be done at Sinai by Dr. Abbass. He's gyn/ob oncologist. From what we know, he has an excellent reputation.

Stacy, Thank you for all your support with Mom. This is in God's hands more than ever. The hardest part is waiting and wondering. Not much we can do at this point but pray. We will keep you updated. Take Care and keep in touch.

I think that's the ONLY picture I have of everyone in your family. Actually I have very few of anyone from way back then. I'm glad it made you laugh.

I'm thinking of your Mom today as she goes in for surgery. I am confident all will go well with the surgery and my prayers are with her for the recovery process and when finding out the results. There is so much they can do with Ovarian Cancer. I hope she is willing to try.

It's going to be a long day for you and Pam. Take it easy and I hope it's a good day for you.
