My dad is doing pretty well with his Navel Beans. Mom says he's not having any significant side effects so far. Of course, we don't know if it's actually WORKING yet, but we're hoping. So you've been having to rest more than usual? Just let me know when you feel up to it, and we'll find a car cruise somewhere!

I went to a dinner last night for a VP in my department, who is leaving after 33 years due to multiple sclerosis. Jeff is very well liked and very well respected in the company. He was the top guy for loan approvals--the last appeal, so to speak. And his decisions were rarely questioned. We had 50-some people at dinner at Gibby's in Timonium last night, and Jeff got several standing ovations. He's been working despite his MS for several years; up until a couple months ago, he was walking with canes, but now he's in a wheelchair, and he has trouble speaking. Up until a couple months ago, he was usually the first one in each day, often starting at 6:00 a.m. It was quite an emotional evening--a lot of the women were crying. It was $50 per person (to cover dinner and a gift), but I didn't want to miss it.

By the way, when you breed a bulldog with a shi-tzu, you get a BULLSHIT.
