The doctor says I'll lose my hair from this radiation. Today will make my 10th treatment and so far I still have it. I don't expect to keep it, I won't get that lucky. But I'm surprised I still have it.

My scalp is pretty sensitive... itching and tender. So is my forehead. That is definitely from the radiation. I won't get a bad burn but it still feels like a slight sunburn.

As I said, today will be my 10th treatment. I'm halfway through as of today. I can't believe how fast it's going by.

I asked my doctor yesterday if after these 20 treatments, if there's any cancer left in the brain, will he continue treatments to the full brain or even to specific areas. He said no. I get what I get. But he did say that he treats people based on how long he thinks they are going to live. I was ecstatic to hear that he expects me to live a long time so that's why he is choosing to treat me slower and gentler without causing damage to the brain. I have no doubt in my mind that I'm going to be here a very long time but it's always nice to hear your doctor say it.

I'm glad to hear that the doc said he expects you to be around for a long time. I certainly want you to be! You better stick around--you still owe me a date! (No hurry--wouldn't want to take you out if you weren't ready to enjoy it!)
