I have been attending many meetings with the present of those 同志團體, the overall impression is that they are too "nice". I also got to meet some of the members of Hong Kong Rainbow, they are just 'young' and not radical at all.
Of course, if you judge these young people from the 10 seconds of screen times on TV, or from anti-gay organizations, you may got a quite different impression.
I have also meet those who are greatly hurt by the anti-gay Christians. There were silence tears from these 同志 that sedom talk about in Christain cycle. Care to see the other side?

First, there are theological difference among Christans.
Second, even for those Christians who view homsexual act as sinful, the treatment for those who are homosexuals are still not justifiable. Do these anti-gay Christians treated divorcee with as much contempt, hatred as they do with homosexuals? Of course not. Besides, not all homosexuals have homoseuxal experience, do Christians even care that they have been treating homosexuals who haven't even sin as enemies is hurtful to these people?

Not necessary. If Christians talked about homosexual act as sin in church, but don't use this as an excuse ot insult, I don't think there is any problem. How many Christians would call a divorcee 'sinner' to his face?

From observation, it is the church that has go to the deep end. 同志 by nature, would try to tolerane Christians.

Well, what done is done. If you considered how many times the anti-gay-Christian Groups have 'attacked' 同志, you have to admit anti-gay Christians are much bigger threat to 同志 then vice versa. Don't forget that there are hate crimes in those countries with strong anti-gay-groups. 同志 may feel threatend because they are all too familiar with those hate crimes against 同志.

Sure. Many peole think that the sex pervert Protestant pastor has the same effect to Christians in the eyes of the general public,

Not exactly. The Catholic Church spoke person has stated quite clearly on the last workshop that even if the Catholic Church still regard homosexual act as a sin, the church still support on principle that all people should have the right to be protected by law from discrimination.
I hope that some Protestant Church Christians would learn from that. Afterall, the incident is in a Catholic Church.
