What kind of protection are we looking for?

To protect men who get caught from having sexual intercourse with another men from being sent to jail as long as they alleged they are homosexual.

To protect them from starving, being homeless, … as long as they are homosexual.

To protect them from losing education, jobs, friends, parents, … for whatever reason, as long as they are homosexual.

To ensure them having respect from others without being judged (without trial) … as long as they are homosexual.

Are we building a new privileged class? Should we give them double votes in election? In fact, not all non-homosexual people could enjoy these protections. Why should they?

The HK government is now considering how to help the poor. One argument is to set the poverty line(s). The controversy lies on where this poverty line should be set. Should we make sure the poor (even though they are simply unfortunate but not for other reasons) could enjoy sea-view apartments, overseas trips, quality entertainment, movies and karaoke, …?

No wonder there are concerns that the anti-discrimination law could encourage more people (to allege) to be homosexual. It will not just be trendy but really beneficial.
