Standing proudly on the pristine beach, sorrel strands of silky mane fluttering on the wind, was the solid figure of Hexed. His calm, melted chocolate gaze surveyed the land that had become his, land that had been ruled by his grandparents, then his father, and now him. The legacy, and responsibility, had passed to him, the generations of leadership having prepared him for the monumental task before him. Paper-thin nares flared slightly as he inhaled the scent of the Isle, the sweetness of fruit-laden trees, the refreshing tang of salt air, the cool freshness of verdant grazing areas cut with sweet water. This was his and Takara's new home, along with the other individuals who had also claimed this bit of paradise as their permanent residence. Sooty appendages held the stout frame of the crimson charger aloft, the obsidian nails sinking into the shifting sands as the foam-capped waves lapped around his ankles. He was home again.
