If the Fates were kind, the sorrel stallion would have no cause to leave his grey-eyed love. Hex certainly would not go seeking more adventures. Even at his relatively young age, he had had his fair share of battle and misery. Now, during the peaceful lull between crises, he would hoard every precious moment that came. Craning his neck, he pressed his darkened muzzle to her forehead before pressing his forehead to hers. He breathed lightly, inhaling her scent and allowing the sweet smell to permeate every cell of his being. Oh how he would remember these calm days when war and strife inevitably came calling and he had to rush off to battle once again.

Pulling away, liquid chocolate eyes met sterling grey ones. "Love?" he queried curiously, a speculative gleam in the dark orbs. He and his beloved were so close he figured she could read his mind, read the questions roosting there. He watched 'Kara carefully, not wanting to verbally make his proposition and hoping she would respond favorably to his unspoken request.
