The splotchy damsel could hardly believe that such happiness existed within this realm as Hex turned the radiant light of his attention onto her. Bathing in the glorious glow, she continued to nuzzle and prod as if to prove once and for all that this meeting wasn't a figment of her imagination. As the King spoke, Takara lifted grey eyes to regard his features with all the tenderness an earthly creature could muster. How could she possibly tell him that she had felt the same while he'd been gone when words refused to form on her tongue? Actions would have to do. Clenching her bottom lip between her teeth, the femme pressed her face against his nape to inhibit the flood of tears that threatened to spill from her glistening visionaries. God help the next vermin that dared take him from her side. Ever since the days of their foalhood on the shores of Sun Kissed Beach, Hex had been a constant presence in her life, a pillar of stability and comfort. This hadn't changed as the years passed, rather the mare had grown to rely on him more heavily. Now her the happiness of her heart depended on him more than she had ever thought possible, a fact that managed to scare her on more than one occasion. Without Hex, she would be like the walking dead, listlessly plodding through life lacking the passion that had once infused her. The reverberations of his deep voice rumbled from his chest to tickle her nares as he addressed those gathered around them. Stifling a soft giggle, Takara seized the joy of the moment and held it jealously to her heart, a memory that would serve to comfort her when Hex would once again be called away.
