Subject: GMRS UK

It seems with avalibility and low prices of imported GMRS radios in the uk, more and more people are using them.
I can confirm that these radios are currently playing havoc with the Fire brigades 457mhz radio system. After listening to a wide area fire brigade repeater in the north west of england, a fire officer was finding it very difficult to communicate with his team due to the amount of kids breaking though on the repeater.
If you continue to use your GMRS radios stay off channels 1-7 as these seem to be where the repeater inputs are. I would imagine ofcom will be very interested in whats going on aswell.
