Subject: audio decibels

log
-3 0.001
-2 0.01
-1 0.1
0 1
1 10
2 100
3 1000
4 10,000
5 100,000

... so it goes the other way too, as we keep dividing by 10 the logs decrease into negative values. I can't easily explain how 10 to the power of 0 is 1, but you'll just have to accept that it makes sense to mathmeticians.

Let me put you out of your misery about how 10^0 = 1.

1 10 = 1 followed by one zero
2 100 = 1 " " two zeros
3 1000 = 1 " " three zeros
4 10,000 etc
5 100,000 etc

so 1 followed by no zeros = 1

Do you not agree ?
