The logic behind this is very interesting. I'm not surprised that Robert Finch (ex-footballer) sees the future of refereeing with ex-footballers.

A friend of mine, who has been refereeing for 10 years or more was this year not considered for grading by NSW because he was considered too old to develop at the next level. How must he feel about guys older than him being given a free pass to the top?
