Marc could see the tears pricking in her eyes and smiled a little as she growled, though his features became a little more serious when she spoke about Jessie, and his brow furrowed a touch. He shook his head and without a word drew her into his lap, he seemed to gain strength when she was there for him to comfort, when he wasn;t just dwelling on his own failures. He shushed her and leaned back in the couch with her, his hand trailing up and down her side in the way it always did when he held her like this "No no.. you did everything you could for Jessie... you did more than anyone else ever could. Seeing how strong you were for her and how amazing you were with her just makes me want to have you be the mother of our children all over again. " He gazed down at her and pressed a determined kiss to her forehead "If we could go back and do it over... I wouldn;'t change the fact that we had her... even knowing it would end like this... I would rather have had these few years with her, than not having her at all."

She was desperately trying to keep a calm head about this and not just lead with her emotions. Her heart wanted her to just curl up in his lap, kiss him senseless and then have him take her to bed. She bit her lip softly and instead cleared her throat, her brow furrowed gently. "Nothing has really changed though...since...since we broke up. Your job still doesn't cater to a family and you..you didn't like it...being with us all the time, remember?" She frowned softly, her fingers tender on his cheek, showing she wasn't angry, she just didn't want to go through the pain of losing him all over again when he realized everything was still the same.
