The General Assembly
Quality Of Life

The General Assembly,

Realizing that all people have in the dignity and worth of the human person and in the equal rights to life, yet the quality of life, life expectancy and adequate sanitation has not improved for the millions of people living African nations. Today life expectancy in almost all of the African countries is about 45 that’s 30 to 40% less than most of the other countries in the world and population using adequate sanitation is between 50 to 60% compared to the other countries of the world which are in the 90%.

Aware that the United Nations has already many programs such as African development, countries with special needs and financing for development. Yet these programs have helped but they haven’t have had a great impact on the quality of life in Africa.

I. Expresses Deep Concern:

(A) The Life expectancy in most of the African countries Is 45;

(B) Sanitation in African countries is about 50 to 60% which is 30 to 40% less than most of the other countries in the world;

(C) 45% of the population of most African countries is below 15 which means that in the near future a better quality of life will be need more than ever;

II. Is aware that:

(A) The United Nations has many programs such as African development, countries with special needs and financing for development

(B) There are not enough funds to distribute to all programs effectively;

(C) The UN has been working on these issues for a long time and doing what is possible;

III Recommends

(A) That the General Assembly:

1- try and create a program and set aside funds to improve sanitation in African countries this would be a major step that would provide many benefits for example by trying to improve sanitation we had be creating jobs which in turn can help the African countries raise their GDP and if more people have jobs and there is good sanitation then life expectancy will rise and the quality of life will be improved enormously for both the present and future generations of Africa which make up almost half of the population.

2- Focus more on programs that have many benefits.
