Japan

Recognizing terrorism as a global threat, as it is giving a threat to international peace and security. It is an assault on the principals or order, law, and human rights. There are many organizations on preventing terrorism, though they could be more thorough, and try to get to the true source of terrorism.

I. Expressing concern for the danger that terrorism gives;

A. Al Queda and other groups associated with them are a danger to Muslim nations, targeting them.

B. Despite successful operations stopping terrorist activities, terrorists still have the will and means to mount operations worldwide.

II. Is aware that:

A. Councils and groups are being created to help stop terrorist activity, such as the UNODC.

B. The government is using two important pieces of legislation to stop terrorism, the Terrorism Act 2000 and the Anti-Terrorism, and the Crime & Security Act 2001.

C. The government is also locating and halting the money which terrorists find effective to stop them before they start their operation.

III. Recommends that the organizations and the government

1. Try to get to the sources of terrorism, and prevent them from performing any new operations.

2. Create laws banning the actions of terrorists

3. Become more aware of third world countries which are the most vulnerable to a terrorist attack.

4. Buy more radio and radar jammers, helping to prevent terrorists with locations for their operations.

5. Create laws suspending the activity of both unorganized and organized crime.
