South Africa Ambassador Evan Reiss
The General Assembly
Healthcare problems in sub Saharan Africa

The General Assembly,

This is one huge problem for Africa and the UN so we need to adjourn this to the committee.

During this time the UN must give attention to the problems in Africa and take actions on what is happening with HIV/AIDS. We need to pay attention to this health issue more than any other at the moment to take action so that this doesn’t get even more out of hand.
I. Our concerns

(A) Right now in just South Africa alone one in every five adults has been infected with HIV or AIDS;

(B) The resulting casualties in this ordeal in just sub-Saharan Africa accounted 3 million new infections;

(C)Out of them 2.3 million deaths have occurred and about 30% of the people with HIV/AIDS in the world live in southern Africa.

II. Is Aware That

(A) Realizes that we the UN should support this country before the children become orphans while there parents fall victims to this virus;

(B) Recognizes that the death rate will grow if we don’t start thinking of more solutions;

(C) Is aware that all the countries in the UN should group up and stop this virus from spreading before it gets out of hand.

III Recommends

(A) That the Healthcare:

1. Strongly condemn that we take the action of HIV/AIDS from spreading;

2. Make sure they use safe sex for those who might have HIV/AIDS;

3. Impose more actions to make this threat go away.
