I think that kids are the best teachers in the world. I have been a counselor for Jr. High kids at my church for 12 years. It's amazing the insight into the world that a young teenage mind has. I think it is great that you are willing to spend time with kids. Think how great the world would be if everyone were to spend time helping kids grow up!

Yeah. I used to work at a health club day care for 2 years. It was great. And I take up on babysitting jobs allll the time. Most people think I'm crazy for doing it being that I'm almost 21 and I still babysit occasionally on a Friday or Saturday night. I don't know, it's just a relief for me. If I weren't in the radio biz, I'd be going to school for elementary education or for a neonatal nurse. Newborns are so innocent and wonderful!!! We'll see...

I relate pretty well to kids also..I used to work at a daycare at my church and I would have stayed there forever except I couldn't afford to live working there. I think, however, with my new schedule (I get off work by 3:30pm) I may go back to work for them a couple a days a week. I loved it there so much!! �

Thought I'd tell you about my exciting weekend. Let's see if it measures up!

Friday night I drove to Vegas with some guy I picked up on the side of the road. He seemed wholesome enough. We stopped at a 7-11 in Albuquerque around 2 AM Saturday. He walked in empty-handed and walked out with a sack full of money. He must have had a really good friend at the store and the money must have been heavy, he was in a big hurry to get back to the car!

Saturday morning (as we were continuing our trip to Vegas), a police car pulled up behind us with his lights flashing. He keot saying something on his bullhorn ... "WANNA RACE?" I think. We raced him for about 100 miles ... I think he ran out of gas.

When we pulled into Vegas, they must have mistaken us for some VIPs or something ... we got a police escort to the police station. I think they wanted us to participate in a finger-painting class, but all they had was black ink. Yuk ... what a mess ... and all they let us do was roll our fingers on a piece of paper. I rated the class C-minus. I think they liked my traveling buddy a lot more than they liked me ... they took him into a room and everybody wanted to talk to him ... in fact, after a while they took him in to talk to the inmates at the station. They must have hired him on the spot ... I never saw him again.

I spent the night there, too. I must have been pretty important to them ... they put me in a room with padded walls (I think they noticed that I was a klutz and they didn't want me to fall and hurt myself).

For some reason, the next morning they sent me on my way! I had to fly home, they misplaced my car, I think.

The cab driver who took me home from the airport was so sweet ... but I think he wasn't very good at math. The meter said that the trip home cost $15, so I gave him a $20 bill and he didn't give me any change. Guess he'll use the extra $5 for math lessons.

So Mark you are turning around on belly button piercings? What about tongue rings. I have my tongue pierced and my belly button and the cartilage in my ear. i love all three.
I am dating a tattoist who has tattoos but no piercings, and I have no tattoos. Piercings and tattoos are beautiful. These things are just one more way for people to express themselves. i do not think that any of my piercings detract from my appearance. Sure I play with it - its a stress reliever. And sometimes, yes I like to see people reactions when they see "that nice clean cut girl" stick out her tongue with a piece of metal in it. Personally I love all my jewelry and dont care what anyone else thinks.

If you cannot look past a piece of metal in someones face or body then you do not deserve the honor of knowing that person. I have wonderful professional friends that have tattoos or piercings in places that you would never expect and places that you can see everyday.

And that my dears is my opinion.

I got it done at Skin N Bones in Deep Ellum. My tongue is a little sore but not much, mainly my speech is slurred. I have had it done before but had to take it out when I was living at home with my mom. MBG, it doesn't hurt as much as you would expect....you can hardly feel the needle at all. It is mainly the swelling afterwards that is uncomfortable. But overall, I'm really glad I had it redone! :)
