A youngish woman rides in, on a somewhat weedy appearing, though tall, brown gelding. Behind her, on leads all shanked to the gelding's saddle, are four horses.
Three are mares, one a bright bay, well groomed and in good condition, quite tall, and well muscled, with impeccable conformation. She glances about her attentively, eyes intelligent, even if her manner is somewhat aloof. The next is dark liver chestnut, also well groomed, though somewhat plumper, and shorter, following along docily. Her gaze does not stray farther than the nearest food source, and her temperament is much sweeter and friendlier than the first. She is no shorter than fifteen hands. The third mare in the string is jet black, tall and well muscled like the first, with similarly good conformation, though her hide is less well cared for. She is skinnier than the first two, and one hind leg is heavily scarred, rendering her useless for hard riding or heavy work.
The fourth horse in the string is a newly-gelded youngster, frequently pulling back against the lead shank. His hide is dark bay, and he is as well groomed as the first two, though not nearly as obedient, having less training and still somewhat coltish in behavior. His manner appeared braver than the rest, with the exception of the scarred black mare and brown gelding ridden by the woman.
Dark eyes scan the market, the woman pulling up away from the majority of peole and tying her horses securely. With a clear voice not unpleasant to listen to, she begins her speech. "Horses for sale, magnificent creatures, suitable for nobles and merchants alike!"
