In my opinion the man sometimes acts like a child and he should grow up and tame it down. I feel he surely must hurt some of his clients by his shenanigans. I'm sure there are a lot of people who don't want him to represent them because of all the trouble he can cause... because of all the verdict reversals on different grounds... because of him losing appeals over and over.

His best years were when he was defending Kevorkian. Years ago I would have loved to have him represent me, even up until a few years ago, but now I would find another lawyer just for the sake of having someone with a better shot at succeeding and not embarassing me.

If I were on the jury panel I would probably get annoyed with him after awhile. He is much more effective when he just uses his strength and knowledge of the law, is charisma, his emotional tugs, his intelligence, and just quiets himself down some.

He is a circus in a man's body and the focus of a trial should not be the lawyer, it should be his client but Geoff is a magnet for all the attention to go to him.

Is making faces or rolling his eyes at the judge mature? No. Do you have to make such loud animated objections to make an objection? No.

In Nate and JJ he was much tamer and he was so effective by how he used his vocal range to make a point, going down to almost a whisper, using famous quotes to make a point, asking skilled questioning. That is the Geoff I want to see.

This all said, I'm still a "fan" because he is such an interesting person. He is still a great lawyer and interesting as a guest on shows, but if he keeps this up he is going to really hurt himself and his firm big time.
