And under your scenario, if you are guilty of negligent homocide then your estate should also be sued, you should be in jail for an undeterminate amount of time and be robbed of your profession, your ability to make a living and your family should also suffer.

I disagree with your last statement. God gave us the ability and intellect to create this life-saving equipment; He didn't tell us when and on whom we should use it. But then I don't ascribe to the notion that God "calls us home" when He is ready. If he were going to do that then we would just lay down and die instead of suffering the trauma that some people must. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and vice-versa.

But that's a theological argument for another venue IMO. And I don't think there is any right or wrong way to look at religion - it's just your way or my way - no harm, no foul.
