Hi, BriAnna

I can't type worth beans! lol My name's Rob with a "b", not Ron with an "n". lol Sorry!

>Hi Ron, I'm BriAnna, but my mates call me Bri. Welcome
>to the boards. :D I'm 27 years old, single, and I live
>in New York city with my daughter Audrey. I work as a
>writer (when the inspiration comes about, lol) and as
>a TV host for the Travel Channel.

The travel channel? Wow, that sounds like really interesting work. I haven't watched TV in awhile. Before I got this gig, I was barely making ends meet and couldn't afford the satellite anymore. lol Now, I'll have to spend time catching up. I'll be sure to watch your show. What's ti callrd?

How old is yer li'l girl? That's a real pretty name you gave her. How do you like NYC? That's one place I've always thought I wouldn't like, because I'm just not real keen on large cities. But, then again, I haven't had much exposure to them, either, so maybe I shouldn't say that. Austin's a smaller sized city. We've got about 2 mil sims here and that's about it.
>
>How do you like living in Texas, Ron? Have you ever
>lived anywhere else?

I liked it just fine, Bri. I mean, I lived in Austin my whole life, but I don't know if I'd like the other parts of Tx as much, cuz it's real green and comfortable in Austin. You really don't see that much in the rest of the state. It's also hilly here, and we have some real beautiful lakes. Whereas in the rest of TX water tends to be pretty scarce and it's a real flat state, pretty brown, not much in the way of foliage. So, yeah, I like it just fine there. But, now, it looks like I'll have osme opportunity to see the rest of the world. It'll be real excitin' I think. I've always wanted to travel, but could never afford it before, you knwo?
>
>Germany, eah? That's wicked. Have you gotten the
>chance to travel much before?

NO. Germany's the first country outside the US I've ever been to. I have to say, it's real uh, interesting, but I'm kinda homesick for barbeque already, I tell you what. lol My boss has been really cool with me, though, and he says I'll get used to it and after awhile I'll probably even get "antsy" (his word, lol) if I am home for too long. I can't imagine that, but I guess I'll find out for myself.
>
>No football at all? Really? I'm a HUGE football fan
>(though we're probably talking about two different
>sorts. I'm a giant European Football fan. Manchester's
>my team :) )

Oh, no Ma'am. I'm not into football, er, uh, American football that is. I just never did understand the point in running up against a guy who's twice my size and bashing myself into him just so some other guy can take a little ball and run with it down a field to throw it between a set of fork tongs.

>I love water sports, surfing especially
>(though I don't get to do it as often as I'd like).

I enjoy boating, any kind of boating. We don't really have much in the way of surf here and I always thought those boys down at the gulf looked kinda pathetic trying to surf in the warm brown ocean water we have here. It's not much of a surf, maybe about 3 feet on a real blustery day, but that's 'bout it. lol I think I'd like it if I got the chance to learn on some real waves. lol

I dind't know you got that kind of surf there on the east coast. The water's probably pretty cold though, huh?

>I
>love music, it’s one of my biggest passions. I love
>watching classic movies, and playing sports,
>especially European Footie. I really enjoy being
>outside, taking my daughter to the park or to the
>beach, that sort of thing.

Yeah, I like being outdoors whenever I can, too. I like comedies mostly and action movies sometimes. I have trouble sitting still through a whole movie, though, unless the weather's too cold to go out. lol So, I'm pretty behind on my movie viewing. I don't htink I've seen a new movie since, well...hmm. I guess maybe since the LOTR came out. Yeah, my ex-gf dragged me through all those. I liked them, but they were just so long and like I said, I could think of about a hundred things I'd reather do. lol
>
>You must be very good, to have gotten that part.
>Congratulations! :)

Thank you so much, Bri. I sure do appreciate that. I am good, not to brag, but it's just a fact. It's one of the few things I really do well in life. lol
>
>That’s very cool. I love grunge, especially Nirvana,
>but my favourite sort of music would definitely have
>to be classic rock. CCR, The Jimi Hendrix Experience,
>AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Lynard Skynard...
>they’re all great.

NIrvana and Stone Temple Pilots are a couple of my fav'rites, too. I love Hendrix. Man, I used to play along with my cds all the time. Still do. He's the baddest. lol so's Jimmy Page and Pete Townshend. They really turned me on to playing the guitar.
>
>Thanks for posting here, Ron. It’s so good to see a
>friendly new face on the boards. :) I hope to hear
>from you soon!
>

Why thank you so much, Bri. I'm glad I did now. Wolf, my boss, recommended that I do that so I can get to know other sims. He siad it'll help keep me from getting so homesick while I'm on the road. It's just for another month, so I wanna make the most of it. :)

Well, hope you post back when you can, Bri. Good chattin' with ya'll, too.

Rob
