>I can't type worth beans! lol My name's Rob with a
>"b", not Ron with an "n". lol Sorry!
lol! No worries. It happens. I can't tell you how many times I've accidently written "Bro" in the name box! :P
>What's ti callrd?
No Reservations. Not the greatest title, but I suppose it suits.
>How old is yer li'l girl? That's a real pretty name
>you gave her.
She's 6 1/2, and I'm sure she appreciates the compliment. :)
>How do you like NYC?
I really enjoy it. Everything's here, you don't need to go very far to go from shopping, to lunch, to the park, to... basically anywhere. lol! But, I do want to move somewhere a little more rural (or at least to the burbs) whenever it is that I decide to settle down.
>Austin's a smaller sized city.
>We've got about 2 mil sims here and that's about it.
Wow, that is pretty small! NYC alone has probably about 8 million sims!
>I've always wanted to travel, but could never
>afford it before, you knwo?
Yeah. I've always been pretty fortunate, I started traveling a lot in my early teens and haven't really been able to stop! Austin sounds like a very beautiful area. I've never been. Are there any places in particular places in the world you want to see now that you're able to travel?
>NO. Germany's the first country outside the US I've
>ever been to. I have to say, it's real uh,
>interesting, but I'm kinda homesick for barbeque
>already, I tell you what. lol My boss has been really
>cool with me, though, and he says I'll get used to it
>and after awhile I'll probably even get "antsy" (his
>word, lol) if I am home for too long. I can't imagine
>that, but I guess I'll find out for myself.
Getting used to the flow of traveling all the time takes a lot. With jetlag, and especially with a different working schedule at every stop, it's got to be hard.
>Oh, no Ma'am. I'm not into football, er, uh, American
>football that is. I just never did understand the
>point in running up against a guy who's twice my size
>and bashing myself into him just so some other guy can
>take a little ball and run with it down a field to
>throw it between a set of fork tongs.
lol! That's a very good description!
>I enjoy boating, any kind of boating. We don't really
>have much in the way of surf here and I always thought
>those boys down at the gulf looked kinda pathetic
>trying to surf in the warm brown ocean water we have
>here. It's not much of a surf, maybe about 3 feet on
>a real blustery day, but that's 'bout it. lol I think
>I'd like it if I got the chance to learn on some real
>waves. lol
The smaller waves are good for learning the basics, but once you get the hang of it, you'll always want to try for the bigger ones. :)
>I dind't know you got that kind of surf there on the
>east coast. The water's probably pretty cold though,
>huh?
Ah, we don't have much of a surf. Probably equal, if not just a tad more, to what you have down in Texas. But like I said, I've done some traveling, and have gotten to surf in some really amazing places, like Australia and New Zealand, Fiji and Hawaii. It's really a rush.
>Yeah, I like being outdoors whenever I can, too. I
>like comedies mostly and action movies sometimes. I
>have trouble sitting still through a whole movie,
>though, unless the weather's too cold to go out. lol
>So, I'm pretty behind on my movie viewing. I don't
>htink I've seen a new movie since, well...hmm. I guess
>maybe since the LOTR came out. Yeah, my ex-gf dragged
>me through all those. I liked them, but they were
>just so long and like I said, I could think of about a
>hundred things I'd reather do. lol
Oh my goodness. LOTR is definitly number one on my list of favourite movies. I loved the books from the time I was just a child, but I fell in love with the story all over again after Peter Jackson's versions came out.
>Thank you so much, Bri. I sure do appreciate that. I
>am good, not to brag, but it's just a fact. It's one
>of the few things I really do well in life. lol
No worries, mate. :) I have an inkling about who you're playing for, and if I'm right, I'm sure you must be great to keep the pace up with him. :)
>NIrvana and Stone Temple Pilots are a couple of my
>fav'rites, too. I love Hendrix. Man, I used to play
>along with my cds all the time. Still do. He's the
>baddest. lol so's Jimmy Page and Pete Townshend.
>They really turned me on to playing the guitar.
My brothers taught me to play the guitar when I was younger, but I don't think I really have the natural gift for it. I really respect anyone who has the patience and talent to play seriously.
>Why thank you so much, Bri. I'm glad I did now.
>Wolf, my boss, recommended that I do that so I can get
>to know other sims. He siad it'll help keep me from
>getting so homesick while I'm on the road. It's just
>for another month, so I wanna make the most of it. :)
Well, I guess I do know your boss! lol. Wolf's a really great guy, and a very, very hard worker. He's been around these boards forever, and if anyone knows what one can do to cure homesickness, it's him.
