What were you thinking?

What were you thinking as they laid you on my chest?
As I looked into those fresh blue eyes I knew that God had granted me the best.

I could not rest that sacred night, I just wanted to take you in. I couldn't get over those dimpels or that little bitty chin.

What were you thinking the morning of your last day?
As I sang of love & gazed at you & thanked God for letting me love this way?

What were you thinking as you took your last breath?

I hope that it's that you are loved in life and still so much in death.

In memory of my precious daughter Lindsey April 28th 2001- May 4th 2001

Sometimes I just lay here & try to imagine that you're still inside of me.

Then I realize that you are.

You will always live in me. I will always hold you inside of me.

Lindsey died from an undetectable heart defect. I had six beautiful days with her. The loss of her is the greatest I've known and the love I have for her is even greater.
